Sundari and Kannan

A new baby elephant, just a a couple of days old named Kannan 'trying to lengthen his little thumbi kai (trunk)' according to Rajani ,:-), disregarding the wise advice from his anxious mom. By the way the gestation period of elephants is 22 months in case of male baby calf,and 21 months if the calf is female.A long period indeed. The elephants are the only animals to take care of their kids till they are more than 15-20 years.:-).
